San Diego’s economy depends on the movement of people and goods. Providing transportation choices is key to that success. Gary Gallegos, Executive Director of the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), will share about a number of projects that will make a major impact in our region now and in the future. In a wide ranging presentation, Mr. Gallegos will discuss an ambitious effort to build a new border crossing to reduce border congestion; the Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project to extend Trolley service from Old Town to University City; the expansion of a high-frequency, limited-stop Rapid transit network; and the Trolley Renewal to upgrade stations and add low-floor cars system wide.
