Hernán is the President of WFW Industries, an advanced manufacturing business to serve the shipbuilding and aerospace community.

He is also the Founder and President of Workshops for Warriors, a nonprofit that prepares veterans and wounded warriors for advanced manufacturing careers.  In 2013, Hernán was recognized by the White House as a “Champion of Change” for his company’s extensive work with veterans.  This year, he was named “Veteran of the Year” by the California State Assembly.

Hernán served in the United States Navy for 15 years as a Hospital Corpsman and then as a Surface Warfare Officer.  He had three combat tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
