A Path Forward: Overcoming intolerance, hate and incivility in society
2020 brought us a global pandemic, civil unrest, and political strife. Yet, it’s a new year and with that, brings the opportunity for change. Change doesn’t happen automatically but with the right skills, it is possible and even productive.
The National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) teaches communication strategies to help people engage effectively with those they disagree with. Our guest speaker, Ashley Virtue, NCRC’s Director of External Relations, will address some of these skills in a practical and helpful presentation to help us kick off the new year.
Ashley has been with the National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) since 2005. She has been instrumental in the development and promotion of multiple mainstay programs at NCRC, and has focused much of her career expanding NCRC’s work nationally and internationally.
