With the racing taking place just five meters from the shore of Harbor Island, the Series will be sure to make a show-stopping return to the Americas. Hear from Matt Reynolds, a San Diego-based professional sailor who brought this event to our town.
Matt will be speaking about the Extreme Sailing Series, it’s growth and how they have pioneered stadium sailing and the success its had. He will speak about regional benefits that ESD is trying to accomplish and the partners that we are working with to bring this event to San Diego (The Port and the TMD/Tourism Authority). He will also discuss the concept of “foiling.” (A hydro-foil is a lifting surface that operates in water and helps a boat reach higher speeds)
