Grotarian Event – USO Airport Center Tour

$25Join the Grotarians for a tour inside the largest USO Airport Center in the world. Retired USMC Sergeant Major, Bobby Woods, who serves as the current Director of the USO Neil Ash Airport Center, will welcome the San Diego Rotary Club and give us a detailed tour through this amazing center and the public art that exists around and within this facility. Staffed primarily by volunteers, the 10,000-square-foot stand-alone building across from Terminal 2 is open 18 hours a day, 365 days a year and served over 122,000 military men and women and their families last year. Many are young Marines headed to and from MCRD for boot camp and Camp Pendleton for further training.
Food from Phil’s BBQ and beverages will be served outside on the patio at the end of the tour.

Place: USO Neil Ash Airport Center (across from Terminal 2) 3705 North Harbor Drive (driving directions and map below)
Cost: $25.00 per person
Parking: Please park in the Terminal 2 Short Term Parking Lot adjacent to the USO. Parking will be validated so bring your ticket in with you.

Directions:
From the North
Take the 5 South. Exit toward Sassafras/San Diego Airport. Go straight onto Kettner Boulevard. Turn right onto W Laurel Street. Turn right onto N Harbor Drive. Proceed to the Terminal 2 Parking Lot and pull a ticket to park. The USO Neil Ash Airport Center is located immediately on the right once you pull through the ticket gate.
From the South
Take the 5 North. Take the Hawthorn Street exit, exit 17, toward San Diego Airport. Keep left to take Hawthorn Street ramp. Turn slightly left onto W Hawthorn Street. Turn right onto N Harbor Drive. Proceed to the Terminal 2 Parking Lot and pull a ticket to park. The USO Neil Ash Airport Center is located immediately on the right once you pull through the ticket gate.
