Purpose: To support San Diego Rotary by providing support, guidance and oversight to ensure that financial accounting best practices are followed in the Club.
Activities/responsibilities: On a quarterly basis, the Committee Members analyze the Club’s financial statements for the prior quarter, inquiring about any apparent anomalous balances or results in comparison to budgeted figures. On an annual basis, the Committee assists in the preparation of the Club’s operating budget for the subsequent fiscal year, including an analysis and recommendation for the amounts to be approved for Project Allocation’s dispersal. Also on an annual or as-needed basis, assist with preparation of documentation for financial accounting processes to be followed in the Club office.
