Chair – Tasreen Khamisa
Purpose: The purpose of the Peace Committee is to imbue any and all actions taken by Club 33 with a peaceful aspect where appropriate. To nominate a peacemaker organization or individual connected to a nonprofit, who has shown exemplary skills and commitment towards peace through their actions and programs.
Goals: To discover and develop a partnership in San Diego that will promote peace throughout the city.
Activities/responsibilities: We hold regular monthly meetings on the first Thursday at 11:00 am, to discuss activities around San Diego with which we might collaborate, and to select our Peace Awardees. We apprise the committee and the Club of programs that are related to peace.
