Purpose: To promote the good work of San Diego Rotary to key audiences throughout San Diego Community with the intent to foster new members, encourage participation and inspire others to lead. Build awareness of the extensive financial, material and human contributions that members of San Diego Rotary make to support Rotary International programs and initiatives.
Activities/Responsibilities:
– Develop or update tools and templates for effective Club 33 public relations
– Proactive media relations and publicity of San Diego Rotary programs, events and community involvement
– Proactive media relations and publicity of luncheon programs, luncheon speaker profiles, San Diego Rotarian(s) profiles
– Social media posts and updates
Why join: Rotarians lead in their communities and it is important to tell “our story” in San Diego’s large community. If you are interested in inspiring others to lead in the community and can bring have some knowledge of the discipline(s) of public relations; this is a good committee to consider.
