Make-A-Wish began humbly in 1980, when a group of kind hearted police officers made a very sick boy a “cop for a day”. This act of kindness began with a small community who came together to make a difference for a child when he needed it most. From that community, sprung a movement that now reaches across the nation and the globe that seeks to grant a wish to every child battling a life-threatening illness.  Chris Sichel will discuss the inspiring ways that a wish can truly change a child, a family and a community.  Medicine can heal a child’s body, but a life-affirming wish can heal their spirit.
