“Improving Student Outcomes in San Diego Unified School District”
The San Diego Unified School Board recognizes that its current governance and accountability practices are not yielding the results we seek for our students, many of whom remain far from educational justice. Our goal is to create the conditions for student improvement in both academic and social emotional outcomes as we know both are critically important to long term success. The school board is conducting community listening sessions to clarify our community’s priorities and will use the feedback we hear from groups like Rotary to shape our 5-year goals. By focusing resources on achieving specific student outcomes, and using data to monitor progress against them, we know we can build a school system where all students reach their potential.
