KPBS General Manager emeritus Tom Karlo will talk about his 47-year career at KPBS. From a student assistant to general manager, Tom will talk about KPBS’ rise from a little watched and listened educational TV and radio station, to the most listened to radio station in San Diego and one of the highest rated PBS stations in the country. KPBS transitioned to become a multimedia organization embracing and producing digital and social media content that provides stories that make us think, help us dream, and keep us connected.
