Our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 26. For the second consecutive year, Club 33 will be hosting the District 5340 Four-Way Test Speech Finals. Watch these amazing high school students overcome their fear of public speaking to tell us about themselves and issues of concern to them, all while showing us how their topic stacks up against the Four-Way Test standard. Toni Giffin

Social Service and Welfare-Goodwill Industries

Toni is the President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Diego County.

She is a native Californian; born in Temple City and raised in Rancho Mirage.  She moved to Chula Vista after marrying her husband John, a retired Methodist minister of 36 years.  They have 7 children and 5 grandchildren.

Toni is an outdoor enthusiast.  She loves gardening, hiking, fishing and golf.  Three things that have formed her into who she is today:  faith, family and Goodwill.

We were recently informed that President Fox will need to return to Mexico City on Wednesday evening, and therefore will be speaking to us on Thursday remotely via Skype instead.

Raymond Simas

Raymond is Vice President and Branch Manager of HomeStreet Bank in Point Loma.

He says his favorite hobby is volunteering.  His immigrant parents taught him the importance of giving back to the community.  Raymond is proud to be involved with several non-profit organizations, including the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation.

Price is Vice President of Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Public Relations.

She is proud to be continuing the legacy of Rotarians in her family.  Club 33 member Jay Arnett is her father. She remembers attending her first Rotary meeting at the age of 13, and attending Camp Enterprise when she was a junior in high school. She is named after her grandmother (whose maiden name was Price) and who was a tireless volunteer and taught Price to give back to her community.

She is an avid craft beer fan and loves scuba diving. She and her husband Brad have a 4-year old son and 9-month old twin girls.

Travis Anderson

Travis is a Partner with Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP. He specializes in trade secret disputes, general business disputes and wrongful termination claims.

Travis is a native San Diegan and attended Washington University in St. Louis.  He completed his law degree at USD.

Karlie is a residential realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

A native San Diegan, she attended the University of Arkansas where she initially wanted to pursue a degree in Animal Science so that she could become a vet for the San Diego Zoo. Karlie quickly realized that was not for her when she discovered that the sight of blood would make her faint!

She began to pursue a career in real estate in 2014, an industry she was very familiar with since her father was a realtor in San Diego for many years.

Karlie is active in the fundraising efforts for the Portuguese community in Point Loma and is on the board of the San Dieguito Boys and Girls Club.
